Life Expectancy: 30+ Years
Size: Most commonly available species grow between 3in-6in
Food: Turtle Pellets, Guppies, Shrimp, Worms, some Plants
Feed Schedule: Daily (babies) / 2-3 times a week (adults)
Baby Enclosure Size: 5-10 gallon tank
Adult Enclosure Size: 20-40 tank
Ambient Temp: 75-80 degrees fahrenheit
Basking Spot: 90-92 degrees fahrenheit
Water Temp: 72-75 degrees fahrenheit
Water Depth: Not the strongest swimmers so its best to keep them close to 12-15 inches as adults. Babies should be kept in water thats about 2 inches deep.
Temperament/Handleability: Generally Docile
Additional info: Though these turtles do not bask as often as most common turtles, they do need a basking platform, UV and Heat lights. Cost is usually around $50+
